The programme from April - September 2009 is as follows:
Sunday 26th April - What are the future plans for the Phoenix Park? Margaret Gormley, Park Superintendent, Phoenix Park, will give an illustrated talk on the Phoenix Park Conservation Management Plan.
Sunday 17th May - Learn about Organic Vegetable Gardening with Joe Darcy, Landscape Horticulturalist.
Sunday May 24th - Dale Treadwell, Australian Ecologist returns with his creepy crawlies, lizards and frogs for a fun
afternoon discovering ecology. Booking essential for this very popular event.
Sunday June 28th - Create a feast for your picnic - join Helen and Clare from The Phoenix Cafe to learn how to create the perfect picnic food for summer outings. Booking essential
Sunday July 26th - Birds of Ireland: Facts, Folklore & History. Bird lovers and general public alike will find this illustrated talk on the folklore, history and historical peculiarities of Irish birds fascinating.
Sunday August 2nd - Medieval times brought to life in Ashtown Castle beside the Visitor Centre with a living history re-enactment with Irish Arms from 11am - 5pm.
Sunday 16th August - Join Don Doran, Deer Keeper in the Phoenix Park, for an update on the Park's most famous inhabitants.
Sunday 20th September - National Clean Air and Mobility Week takes place between 16th - 22nd September. Paul McQuaid, Phoenix Park Bike Hire, will encourage us to use the cycle lanes in the Park with his talk on Cycling in the Phoenix Park
