The following are details of any current and future scheduled road and gate closures in the Phoenix Park.

Darkness Into Light: Saturday 9th May 2026
Roads to be closed to vehicular traffic:
Chesterfield Avenue (Phoenix to Mountjoy Roundabout) will be Closed from 7.00pm on Friday 8th May to 8.00am on Saturday 9th May
Acres Road to Phoenix Roundabout Saturday 3.00am – 6.45am
Upper Glen to Acres Road Saturday 3.00am – 6.45am
Acres Road to Papal Cross Saturday 3.00am – 6.45am
Ordnance Survey Road Saturday 3.00am – 6.45am
(except for access to Farmleigh House)
Military Road will remain open
Gates to be closed:
Castleknock Gate Saturday 3.15am – 6.45am
Knockmaroon Gate Saturday 6.30am – 8.00am
Chapelizod Gate access will be controlled by An Garda Siochána for access to St. Mary’s Hospital & Cara Cheshire Home.
All roads and gates will re-open as soon as it is safe to do so. Parking only permitted in areas agreed with Organisers.

Roads to be closed to vehicular traffic:
Chesterfield Avenue Wednesday 7.15pm – 10.00pm
(Phoenix to Mountjoy Roundabout)
Survey Road Wednesday 7.15pm – 10.00pm
The Odd Lamp Road will be open for the duration of the event.
Gates to be closed to vehicular traffic:
Castleknock Gate Wednesday 7.30pm – 9.30pm
Ashtown Gate – Left Turn Only on Entry Wednesday 7.30pm – 10.00pm
Knockmaroon Gate will be closed from 7.30pm on Wed 13th May until 7.00am on Thurs 14th May
All roads and gates listed will re-open as soon as it is safe to do so.

From 10am Monday 28th February 2022, the North Road will commence a one-way system, in the City direction only.
